“Theatre is about putting ourselves at play through encounters between real people in a shared present space and time. We can listen and speak; we can see and be seen; we can experience situations, share stories, and build relationships.”

Why do it?

Theatre is a key tool for human development and can be used with different purposes, including: psychological benefits, self-confidence, motor coordination, empathy, critical thinking etc. It is one of the few areas that truly promotes living in the present and continues to hold its importance.

In an era where technology dominates us and pushes us into the virtual world, where we constantly seek external validation, theatre, on the other hand, teaches us to be present, to share, (to listen) to accept others and, above all, to accept ourselves, becoming more aware of who we are and of the choices we make. It is the oldest and still the most powerful nourisher of human dialogue- and empathy- (skills that are rapidly becoming more and more critical by the day).

As one of the most complete artistic expressions, it serves as living nourishment for our mind and knowledge. The stories told and embodied by actors bring everyday life lessons, and social perspectives that are highly relevant to the development of both the individual and society.
