Founded in 1885, Cossoul is involved in social integration through the arts – the visual arts, theatre, literature, music, cinema – fostering initiatives for all age groups. It hosts the independent publisher ‘Artefacto’, a bookshop, gallery, exhibition space and bar. It was at Cossoul’s annual REVERSO festival of artists, authors and independent publishers that JÁ debuted on the festival circuit in 2019.

Livraria Ler Devagar

Created in 1999, LIVRARIA LER DEVAGAR introduced to Lisbon the concept of bookshops as meeting places, spaces for debating ideas, and spaces for artistic expression. With books stacked to the rafters of its 14-metre high ceiling, it is one of the most iconic bookshops in Lisbon. It is also a library, exhibition gallery, music shop, restaurant, cake shop and bar… and a venue for theatre groups like us.
