The second edition of the exhibition ‘4 Journalists’ celebrated the lives and courage of four women journalists – Veronica Guerin, Anna Politkovskaia, Natalya Estemirova and Daphne Caruana Galizia – who were murdered for daring to bear witness and report hidden truths.

The exhibition was curated by Já founder Dan Cotterall. SINUO created the soundscape and the striking 2m-high portrait of each journalist was created by the Portuguese artist Ester Monteiro.

The exhibition included a discussion on journalism, media and truth at the Kaunas Cultural Centre of Various Nations. The panel of experts comprised Susan Lamb (fellow and member of the International Advisory Board at The New Institute in Hamburg), Auksė Balčytienė (professor and researcher at the VMU Department of Public Communication) and Irma Bogdanovičiūtė (journalist, documentary filmmaker and producer). The discussion was moderated by Já founder Suresh Nampuri.

The evening ended with a jazz concert by MAGIC LINE DUO with vocals by Guostė Bridikytė and Leonardas Bėkša on piano.
