Já founder Suresh Nampuri led a workshop exploring the derivation and exploration of character in both classical and contemporary forms of Shakespearean play. Strict rules of classical drama are relaxed in a way that makes them relevant and engaging for a contemporary audience. This workshop was part of Explore Z Festival at Zid Theater.

ExploreZ is a multidisciplinary, international festival that makers, international guests and city residents create together, for a diverse and inclusive audience. ZID Theater is the producer of the annual festival. The DNA of ZID – diverse, inclusive, international and multidisciplinary – is therefore woven into the festival.

ExploreZ Festival takes place annually in May in Amsterdam, and then travels to various cities in the Netherlands (ExploreZ on Tour).
